Jesus has the most powerful name in heaven, in the universe, and in hell.

A.         All power – for all things – is available in His name.

1.      God exalted Jesus. He promoted Him to the highest position among the living and the dead, because of His victory over sin and death.

Philippians 2:9 - Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name (NKJV).

2.      God did this so that Jesus would be judge over all and the Redeemer to those who put their faith in Him.

Philippians 2:10 - that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth (NKJV).

3.   Everyone in heaven, earth, and hell will recognize that Jesus is the victorious, risen Savior, even those who can’t be redeemed, like Satan himself.

Philippians 2:11 - and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (NKJV).

B.        God gave us authority to pray in the name of Jesus.

John 14:13,14
13 “And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14 “If you ask anything in My name, I will do it (NKJV).

John 16:23,24
23 “And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.

24 “Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full (NKJV).

C. We can receive miraculously from the Father, if we believe in the power of Jesus’ name and know the revealed will of God.

1 John 5:14,15
14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him (NKJV).

Mark 11:24 -“Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them (NKJV).

D.      We can declare healing in the name of Jesus.

Acts 3:6,12,16
6 Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”

12 So when Peter saw it, he responded to the people: “Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk?

16 “And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all” (NKJV).

Acts 4:29,30
29 “Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word,

30 “by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus” (NKJV).

E.         We can run off demon spirits in the name of Jesus.

Luke 10:17 - Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name” (NKJV).

Acts 16:18 - But Paul, greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And he came out that very hour (NKJV).

F.         We must maintain thankfulness for the power given to us in the name of Jesus.

Ephesians 5:20 - giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (NKJV).

G.         We do everything that we do, authorized by the name of Jesus.

Colossians 3:17 - And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him” (NKJV).

H.         Jesus inherited His Father’s name when He victoriously purged our sins and took His place on the throne.

Hebrews 1:1-4

1  God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets,

2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;

3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

4 having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they (NKJV).
