Supernatural Healing Destroys the Works of the Devil

  1. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil.

1 John 3:8 – He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil (NKJV).

  1. Mankind’s sin is the root source of all their problems.

Genesis 2:17 – “but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die” (NKJV).

  1. Sickness and early death are major instruments of destruction against humans.

Acts 10:38 – “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him” (NKJV).

  1. Jesus is the source of abundant life.

John 10:10 – “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (NKJV).

  1. One work of the devil is to blind the minds of the unsaved.

2 Corinthians 4:3 – But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing (NKJV).

  1. The light of the Gospel is a revelation of the glory of Christ..

2 Corinthians 4:4 – whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them (NKJV).

  1. John recognized that the disciples witnessed the glory of Christ.

John 1:14 – And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth (NKJV).

  1. The miracle of turning water into wine began this manifestation of His glory.

John 2:11 –This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him (NKJV).

 

III.      The manifestation of the glory of God must be our focus in these last days.

Psalm 145:11-12
11 They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, and talk of Your power,

2 To make known to the sons of men His mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of His kingdom (NKJV).

Habakkuk 2:14 – For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea (NKJV).

John 1:14 – And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth (NKJV).

John 11:40 – Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” (NKJV).

2 Corinthians 3:18 – But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord (NKJV).

2 Corinthians 4:6 – For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ (NKJV).

Colossians 1:27 – To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory (NKJV).

Hebrews 1:3 – Who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high (NKJV).

Hebrews 2:9 – But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone (NKJV).

Revelation 21:23 – The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light (NKJV).
