The anointing of the Anointed One (Christ) will bring deliverance from any yoke.
Isaiah 10:27, 33-34
27 It shall come to pass in that day That
his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, And his yoke from your neck,
And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.
33 Behold, the Lord, The LORD of hosts, Will lop off the bough with terror; Those of high stature will be hewn down, And the haughty will be humbled.
34 He will cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, And Lebanon will fall by the Mighty One (NKJV).
2. The Messiah will judge and bless through righteousness.
a. The Messiah will decide with equity for the meek (humble).
Isaiah 11:1-5
1 There shall come forth a Rod from the
stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.
2 The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.
3 His delight is in the fear of the LORD, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears;
4 But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, And decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.
5 Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins, And faithfulness the belt of His waist (NKJV).
Review of “Hearing from the Anointing which Produces Faith”
3. James, the half-brother of Jesus, had great insight into faith and humility.
James 4:3-10
3 You ask and do not receive, because you
ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.
4 Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
5 Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously”?
6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”
7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
9 Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom.
10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up (NKJV).
James 5:13-15
13 Is anyone among you suffering? Let him
pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms.
14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.
15 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven (NKJV).
4. Faith comes by hearing the whole Gospel and obeying the anointed instructions of the Lord.
Acts 14:7-10
7 And they were preaching the gospel
there.
8 And in Lystra a certain man without strength in his feet was sitting, a cripple from his mother’s womb, who had never walked.
9 This man heard Paul speaking. Paul, observing him intently and seeing that he had faith to be healed,
10 said with a loud voice, “Stand up straight on your feet!” And he leaped and walked (NKJV).
