Jesus told us to believe.

Mark 1:14,15
14 Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,

15 and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel” (NKJV).

Mark 5:36 – As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not be afraid; only believe” (NKJV).

Mark 9:23 –Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes” (NKJV).

Mark 9:42 – “But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea” (NKJV).

Mark 11:23,24
23 “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

24 “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them (NKJV).

Mark 16:17,18
17 “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;

18 “they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover” (NKJV).

B.            God, through Moses, told the priests to bless the people.

Numbers 6:22-27
22 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying:

 23 “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them:

 24 “The LORD bless you and keep you;

 25 The LORD make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you;

 26 The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.”’

 27 “So they shall put My name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them” (NKJV).

C.            Samuel anointed and blessed a king.

1 Samuel 9:17; 10:1, 6; 15:1
17 And when Samuel saw Saul, the LORD said to him, “There he is, the man of whom I spoke to you. This one shall reign over My people.”

10:1 Then Samuel took a flask of oil and poured it on his head, and kissed him and said: “Is it not because the LORD has anointed you commander over His inheritance?”

6 “Then the Spirit of the LORD will come upon you, and you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man.”

15:1 Samuel also said to Saul, “The LORD sent me to anoint you king over His people, over Israel. Now therefore, heed the voice of the words of the LORD” (NKJV).

D.            We are all to be blessed as priests or kings

Exodus 19:6 – “‘And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel” (NKJV).

Revelations 1:4-6
 4 John, to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne,

 5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood,

 6 and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen (NKJV).
