- The Messiah’s earthly name was Yeshua [Strong’s 3443].
Psalm 91:16 – “With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation” (NKJV).
- “Salvation” in the Hebrew is yeshuwah [Strong’s 3444]: He will save with deliverance, aid, victory, prosperity, health, help, and well being.
- God attached this salvation to long life, proving this included the salvation of healing for our bodies.
James 5:15 – And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven (NKJV).
- Jesus had to pay the price for our miraculous exchange as the Messiah (or Christ), the anointed Son of Man.
- He was always with the Father as “the Word.”
John 1:1-4
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 He was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men (NKJV).
- See Genesis 1:3, 6, 9, 11, 14, 20, 24, 26
- Every time you read “And God said…” it was “the Word,” the second person of the Godhead speaking.
- “The Word” became one of us, a human.
John 1:14 – And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth (NKJV).
- We can call Jesus “the Divine/Human Being.”
- He came to the earth to return mankind to the place of being human/divine beings – by His miraculous exchange.
- Jesus responded to Philip:
John 14:8-12
8 Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.”
9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
10 “Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.
11 “Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.
12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father” (NKJV).
- Jesus was explaining why His disciples should put their faith in Him.
John 14:1, 6, 23, 26-27
1 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.”
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.
26 “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
27 “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid (NKJV).
- Jesus always contrasted faith and fear.
- He was always telling His disciples not to fear, but to be in faith.
Mark 5:36 – As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not be afraid; only believe” (NKJV).
John 14:1, 27
1 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
27 “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (NKJV).
- The Son of Man redeemed mankind.
- Jesus perfected the walk in the Spirit as the anointed Son of Man (the Messiah, the Christ, Yeshua).
John 5:19, 30
19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.
30 “I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me” (NKJV).
- He completed the miraculous substitutionary sacrifice as the Son of Man, and by His stripes He provided healing for our bodies.
Isaiah 53:5 – But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed (NKJV).
Jesus Christ was completely successful in His mission to redeem mankind from sin, sickness, poverty, and death. When Jesus said, “It is finished,” it was finished. Therefore, I can boldly declare, “I am healed now and I will remain healed. I agree with Jesus: it is finished.”
