Faith possesses the promise in advance: “The Lord will raise us up.”

  1. We must step into the promises of the Word.

Joshua 1:3 –Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses (NKJV).

  1. The size of our inheritance depends on how much land we have stood on, walked on, and claimed.
  2. We put on the whole armor of God.

Ephesians 6:13 – Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand (NKJV).

  1. We fight the good fight: the faith fight.

1 Timothy 6:12 – Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses (NKJV).

  1. We endure as a hardened soldier.

2 Timothy 2:3 – You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ (NKJV).

  1. We resist the devil until he flees.

James 4:7 – Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you (NKJV).

  1. Jesus is the Word and He possesses life eternal.

John 1:1,4
1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men (NKJV).

  1. We must do the works of the Word.

John 6:28,29
28 Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?”

29 Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent” (NKJV).

  1. We must believe in Jesus for eternal life.

John 6:47 – “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life” (NKJV).

  1. He will raise us up.

John 6:39,40,44
39
“This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day.

40 “And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

41 “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day” (NKJV).

  1. We recognize (commune with) His redemptive work.

John 6:54 – Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day” (NKJV).

  1. If He can raise us up on the last day, He can raise us up today.

James 5:13-16
13 Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms.

14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.

15 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much (NKJV).

“The rich plain of healing is yours to the extent that you tread upon it.”

“The fertile valley of deliverance is yours if you will go in and possess it.”

“The highlands of spiritual power are yours if you will use faith and drive out the squatters.”                                                                                    – T. L. Osborn
