How Most Christians Receive Healing from the Lord
Most believers who receive divine healing from the Lord do so with a combination of their own faith and the agreement – or combined faith – of another.
- You must see that healing is a promise from God to those who have made His Son Jesus their Lord.
2 Corinthians 1:20 – For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us (NKJV).
Matthew 8:17 – that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses” (NKJV.)
Matthew 8:3 – Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed (NKJV).
It is as if Jesus Himself is telling each of us, “I took your infirmity and bore your sicknesses. I want you healed! It’s the Father’s promise and My promise to you.”
- When another Christian of like precious faith adds their faith to yours, God’s promises are manifested.
Matthew 9:29 – Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you” (NKJV).
1 John 5:14,15
14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him (NKJV).
Matthew 18:19 –“Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven (NKJV).
Jesus is saying to each of us, “Your faith will get this done. You’ve asked according to My will and united your faith with another believer’s agreement power, so My answer is obviously “Yes! Receive it!”
- Keep in mind that you qualify to be healed because Jesus qualified you!
2 Corinthians 5:17-21
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation,
19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.
21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him (NKJV).
2 Cor. 5:15, 17, 18, 21 – The Mirror Bible
15 Now if all were included in his death they were equally included in his resurrection. This unveiling of his love redefines human life!...
17 Now, in the light of your co-inclusion in his death and resurrection, whoever you thought you were before, in Christ you are a brand new person! The old ways of seeing yourself and everyone else are over….
[In the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, God did not redeem a compromised replica of you; he rescued the original, blueprint you, created in his radiant mirror likeness!]
18 To now see everything as new is to simply see what God has always known in Christ…this is 100% God’s belief and his doing. In Jesus Christ, God exchanged equivalent value to redeem us to himself….
[The Greek word translated as “reconciliation” in NKJV means a mutual exchange of completely equal value.]
21 This is the divine exchange: he who knew no sin embraced our distortion… He was disguised in our distorted image and marred with our iniquities; he took our sorrows, our pain and our shame to his grave and birthed his righteousness in us. He took our sins and we became his innocence.
God is saying to each of us, “I made you a member of My family by simply making you a new person. I did this miraculous exchange for you through My Son, exchanging your sinfulness for His righteousness and exchanging your sickness for His divine health and wholeness. Not only that, but now, as My ambassador, you can deliver this offer to others as well.”
